In order to provide the best experience to our users we have designed the 4XVision platform using a combination of various software, engineering, infrastructure, development and release management tools. The following section explains the various components, features of our architecture.

Software

Our software stack includes Angular, Node.js, Mongodb…. Com’on, we’re not going to tell you everything!

Infrastructure

Our platform is hosted in AWS with dedicated instances for our web, app and database servers with Linux operating system. We have separate environments to host development, integration, testing and production instances with clear isolation in data and processes.

Security

We have meticulously designed security not only in our production, testing and Dev environments but also in our development, CI/CD processes. Authentication of users via effective identity management, Authorization of roles via access control, transport level and message level encryption to protect customer access and data, continuous monitoring to detect and prevent any intrusions, continuous user training are some of the key features we have implemented to ensure top level security in our platform and processes.



Availability

With multiple instances of our servers and effective load balancing and failover mechanisms we have ensured a 4 9’s of availability. In order to ensure business continuity, we are leveraging AWS disaster recovery capabilities.



Performance

Our design is based on providing data near real time to our users. We have reduced the latency through the entire platform leveraging features such as streaming, more in memory processing and effective use of synchronous and asynchronous transactions. We have conducted rigorous load tests to design the platform to ensure desired SLA’s.



Scalability and Elasticity

With multiple instances designed to scale based on load and ability to deploy new instance as the load grows, we are leveraging AWS effectively to ensure that we meet our continuously increasing demand.



Monitoring and Alerting

We are leveraging AWS cloudwatch, cloudtrace tools along with an effective instrumentation in our code to ensure that we continuously monitor the platform and resolve any exceptions asap.
